Hey Folks,

Question about my Seleukid gallery: Should I use a number or letter system to arrange the coins chronologically by ruler? I'm using letters now but I don't like how they look.

Any opinions are very much appreciated!

On second thought, I think I just found the function that lets me pick the order without assigning a prefix.

Ok so I do need help.  I removed the letters.  When I go to the screen to sort pictures the files are in the order I would like, but they do not display that way, even when I select "Position Ascending/Descending".  What am I doing wrong here?

I personally prefer to listmy coins chronologically by ruler. If you look at my galleries you will see the individual files titled with the ruler's name followed by the dates of their reign.  But you can do it any way that suits your personal taste.  I've seen some who organize them by denomination or size and others that seemingly have no order.  You have a very nice collection going!

Thanks, CG.  I'm trying to get them back in order now!   Your collection is very nice as well.

Ok, finally fixed it and added an Achaios bronze I just bought from Joe.  The troubling part was, I don't have normal file names like "AntiochosIII" but names like "ae1" or "seleukidB" so it was difficult to figure out which is which.

Anyway, please have a look if you are interested.

Antiochos VIII (Grypos), not Antiochos IV. The date in exergue is BϘP = 121/0 BC, first year of his sole reign.
Check Hoover's HGC 9, 1220.

Thanks, Rover.

I attributed all of these back when I first started collecting so the entire section is getting a much needed makeover!
