Hey everyone, we just created Coin Register – a pretty neat tool for tracking your collection. It works on iPhones.
Coin Register is designed to be helpful whether you’re a beginner or an experienced collector, so this app has everything you need to keep track of your collection. You can describe, grade, and catalog each coin, make detailed notes on the origin, era, condition, and more. You can even create themed collections and distribute your coins by them.

We have big plans for Coin Register, and we want to make sure it’s the best tool for you. We’d love to hear your thoughts on Coin Register. What would you like to see added or changed?

Coin Register has free trail period, so you can try it out and see if it’s right for you. We hope you’ll give Coin Register a try! Let us know what you think.

Sorry, android user.
It's too early to think about Android for us. Need to fully work out the functionality in iOS. This screenshot shows the characteristics of the coin record in app. I hope that everything necessary is there.

Is there a field for recording the appropriate coin reference material?

In addition to the characteristics that are visible in the screenshots of the my previous post, for each coin you can add up to 3 catalogs with a name, number and link, up to 5 links to sites where there is important information for you about the coin and a Note section where you can add the appropriate coin reference material.

I also use android. But the real question is, does it work on a computer? I will never use my phone for a coin collection. I am amazed by apps that will only work on a phone.

…does it work on a computer?
In the future, iCloud integration will be added, which means that Coin Register data will be synced across all your Apple devices, including laptops and desktops.

Our nearest plans also include exporting and importing data in the Coin Register internal format. This exported file can be used for backup or to transfer data to another device.

I agree with Virgil, almost no coin collectors manage their collection on a phone. They photograph their coins, edit the photos on a computer, and the phone isn’t part of that process.

Ideally the app would focus on iOS and windows desktops first, with a companion phone app.

Virgil

I use nothing but my phone, since I have no desktop, laptop, tablet, cable, internet,  wi-fi, etc.
So something like this might be useful, IF it worked on Android and IF I thought I really needed it.

Many things are not standard, and we try to take this. Now in the Coin Register app you can enter information about the "Countermark", as well as mark the orientation of the axes, different from the medal and coin.

Our users asked for it and we added it. Now each coin record can be saved in PDF file. The file can be sent to friends, printed or simply saved on your computer.
