Tetradrachm OTD!

My latest acquisition, Ptolemy VI Philometer AR Tetradrachm:  https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-68202

It came with some of it's original "find patina" but not enough for it to be attractive, very splotchy.  So i gave it a good soak in some lemon juice and a quick light brushing.  I am happy with the outcome.

Thanks guys, heres a before photo.

It had some hard encrustation around the top of the head and the eye area.  The Eagles tail feathers and tip of the wings also had some hard dark crust that was covering some of the fine detail.  I didn't clean the coin because i don't like a darkly toned coin, but because the dark crust was clogging up the beautiful detail beneath.  I think it cleaned up well and it will be nice to see it tone evenly.
