Help with another collectors ticket
« on: November 16, 2019, 11:10:12 pm »
Recently acquired a couple of coins that included the prior owners ticket.

This first one references "found  nr Hayton N. Humbs"

I'm Guessing Hayton is a town but can anyone translate N. Humbs for me?

The back of the ticket states bt. (bought?) Blowers 1983. Does anyone know this reference?

Thanks HK

I don’t know if this helps, or if it is just a coincidence.

Your coin was found in Hayton, and the ticket mentions JB and Blowers
One of the references in the link below is "Finds of Sceattas and Stycas from Sancton". Sancton is very close to Hayton, and the authors are J. Booth & I. Blowers.
