(1/1)

maridvnvm:
Hello folks,
Please be gentle with this newbie!
I have had this Severus Alexander denarius in my collection for some time and have been unable to get an attribution.

Obverse:- IMP C M AVR SEV ALEXAND AVG, laureate draped bust right
Reverse:- VIRTVS AVG, Virtus standing left, holding reversed spear and victory

Regards,
Martin

Just a quick update for those who are interested? Hopefully someone is.
I also posted a request for help on Moneta-L and had some follow up from Curtis Clay.

"That is a perfectly regular EASTERN MINT denarius of 222-4, that quite by chance used a rev. type that the Rome mint would later repeat in 230."

Just sharing the info.
