Gospodin Jekov deceased

Dear friends of coins from Nikopolis!

Today I received the sad news from his daughter that her father Gospodin Jekov has died. Together with him and his wife Nina Hristova, I published  for over 10 years the monograph of the Coinage of Nikopolis ad Istrum . Now, after Nina, who passed away in 2017, my friend Gospodin has also died. Nikopolis is a kind of life's work for me and has become a standard reference during this time. It is a black day not only for me but for all friends of Nikopolis.  How it will continue, I don't know yet. I don't have access to the University of Blagoevgrad, which printed the books on demand for us.
