Nicaea Demeter

(1/1)

Phil P:
Since the eagle-eyed experts here have proven able to spot details I can't, I thought I'd challenge you with this one. I have it as Nicaea and Demeter holding corn-ears and a torch, but beyond that I can't say anything definitive. There are traces of an obverse inscription, but guess I make about what it reads turns up nothing.

This is a possibility:

The reverse is Demeter as you stated, the obverse is another matter.

It is hard to tell, but it looks like the reverse of the RPC specimen is a die match.

Cheers,

Clueless

Phil P:
Thanks, that does look like a good match.
I'm going to have to remember to make more use of RPC. My go-to wildwinds doesn't have that one.
