Blayne => congrats on a great looking gallery

 +++

I love the yesterday's Domitian provincial from Side with ...

=> "Athena advancing left, holding pomegranate, spear and shield, serpent at foot" (very cool reverse)

My daily upload, though I am running out of coins to get loaded.

Another Gallienus with the same Ric as two other coins in my gallery.

This one okidoki and otlichnik helped identify as a Hadrian with Clementia reverse.

The final one today shanxi pointed me in the right direction with a Severus Alexander.

Thanks for looking and hope you have a great day.

Blayne => congrats on a great looking gallery

Thanks Steve its been a blast and a huge  learning curve.  There are lots of great coins out there that I am putting on my list..... some are crazily expensive though.

I love the yesterday's Domitian provincial from Side with ...

=> "Athena advancing left, holding pomegranate, spear and shield, serpent at foot" (very cool reverse)

I loved the reverse too, especially the serpent.  It looks like the serpent is severely mad

Thanks Joe and Harry

I am going to have another three tomorrow to show.

One has an exceptional obverse in my opionion, however it has been harshly cleaned in spots before me.

Just getting weights and measurements tonight

Here are my next three coins from Aurelian.

The first looks better in hand but I have struggled to get a photo of it.  I have included two-one mine and the vender photo with the white background.

https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-153152

The next one is very nice.  Great colouring and obverse strike.  However, has been over cleaned at one point in parts.  Rated scarce from Ticinium.  My first coin from that mint.

https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-153151

And the third is another with the Sol Reverse, this time from Siscia.

Adding three more coins today.  All are tough to capture their uniqueness.  Do have a new SLR on order so hopefully the future will bring better photos

All of these are pretty common

A Gallienus with Victory reverse
https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-153175

A coin from Antonius Pius honouring Marcus Aurelius
https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-153174

and a Probus with Mars reverse.  I do like the strike on this one.

I like all three ...

 +++ +++ +++

... but man, I really love the Probus & Mars example (great reverse ... looks a bit like Mars has his electric guitar over his shoulder)

 ;)

Oh, and the eagle-tipped sceptre on the obverse is also a great touch (great coin)

I believe this one shares the same reverse as the one the Philoromaos has in his/her gallery

Dear Blayne, nice new additions+++

The last two coins little bit over cleaned, they do not need cleaning too strongly, just carefully  :)

Thanks.   These coins are how I purchased them.  Though I will admit in my uncleaned/over cleaned collection I have some that I went to far on.

Thanks guys for all your kind words regarding my gallery.  It has totally been a blast and I am enjoying find new areas of interest and creating an expensive want list.

Today I am happy to add 3 more to my gallery.

This first one is my first hoard coin.  It is in uncleaned condition and it is from the South Petherington Hoard.

https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-153557

Secondly I have my first coin from Philip II celebrating his Olympic glory.

https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-153555

Last but not least is a fairly common Campgate, which will be a part of my growing Campgate collection.

https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-153556

Hope you enjoy..

Hi Blayne,

All 3 are great! The campgate one is in very nice condition, and I like the reverse of the Philip. The Victorinus is really nice too, and it's always good to have coins with provenance!

Atta-boy, Blayne ... those are 3 cool additions (congrats)

 +++ +++ +++

Hey, I also have a pretty cool Constantius-II campgate example ... it has two open doors, which is apparently a tad more rare than the typical campgate examples

... wanna see it? (hey, I will delete it if it's cluttering-up your sweet thread, okay?)

Hey Steve P

No worries, that is a great Campgate.  I havent gotten any with doors yet, so I am extremely jealous over that nice set.  +++
