A little treat for my birthday.
« on: August 07, 2021, 08:39:38 pm »
Hello board.

Well my birthday was in july, and this year i was looking for something more danish related to treat myself.  ;D You only turn 47 once right?

The coin is from King Svends Estridsens rule. if you want to read a little about the man look here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweyn_II_of_Denmark

Coin info.
Silver Penning. City of Roskilde
Svend Estridsen (1047-1074)
Hauberg nr. 36
Sadly there is really no description of the text, and symbols. On some of his later coins, there are Runes on.
This is my oldest danish coin, so speciel for me.  :)
Hope you like it cheers Kim
