Question.
I've never understood why we vote for three.
Seems to me we could all have the same person in mind as our third choice, and they will end up with the most votes and win.
Or am I missing something?

We have been doing it this way for a very long time but not from the beginning. The rules are the results of lessons learned.

We only nominate the one person we support the most and we vote for three so everyone who is nominated gets some votes.

My three votes are not my first through third choice. I will be happy if any of them win. If you feel differently, perhaps just vote once.
