Title: Uncertain Asia mint under Vespasian
Post by: 77HK77 on September 14, 2021, 10:09:53 pm
Recently picked up this AS marked as an "uncertain Asia minor Mint"

Domitian as Caesar
Eagle standing left on thunderbolt, head right
COS V PRINCEPS IVVENTVT
RIC II.1 1518 (Vespasian)

Can anyone fill me in on the "uncertain Asia minor mint"?
What is the current thinking on location? I see the difference in style but are there specific points that make us identify "Asia minor" as opposed to elswhere?
