CONOB transformed into COMOB
« on: May 24, 2021, 05:48:12 am »
Hello,

Here are two coins. The dies are same. The firt coins is with CONOB mint mark. The second coin with COMOB. There are cases. The die was reheated and then cold worked. The metal could be pushed back and you should see depressions. Sorry if my traduction is not correct, im french. COMOB then CONOB or CONOB then COMOB. COMOB to CONOB look the more simple but the obverse style match with Constantinople.
The problem is that the photo quality dont permit to see remains of this work on both coins. Do you have a better photo of this coin?
