Gordian III. denar - fake or not?
Tibsi:
Hi!
What do you think about it?
Fake or not?
Bye!
Tibsi
Scipio Helveticus:
As far as I can tell, this seems to be a copy of an Aureus:
Gordian III AV Aureus. 239 AD. IMP CAES M ANT GORDIANVS AVG, laureate, draped & cuirassed bust right / P M TR P II COS P P, Providentia standing left holding globe & transverse scepter. Cohen 195.
I wont go out on a leg and say this is fake, but let me put it this way: I wouldnt buy it.
Arminius:
The portrait looks at least unusual.
I donĀ“t like the surface.
How looks the edge??
Regards
Pscipio:
There can be no doubt that is is modern.

silvernut:
None of my Gordians (and I've got now several dozen) looks like this guy... I'm no expert, but I wouldn't buy it either.
Regards,
Ignasi
