Please help me with babyltetradrachm (Baal / Lion)
Moritz S:
I found that coin in italy at the thyranian sea in the year 1980. I don't want to sell it, but I would like to know if it's a real coin or a fake.
It looks like a strange version of a babylonic tetradrachm.
On the main side it shows Baal seated to the left with a cepter in his right hand.
On the rear side it shows a lion headed to the left.
The motives are very rudimentary and I assume, that the coin is poured and not embossed because of it thickness.

What's about size and weight? For an identification this is indispensable.

At his level of similarity the genuine ones are perhaps also looking like the coin of Moritz :).
But I also believe that this is a forgery :(.

@Pekka:
thank you so much for your link. That's exactly what I needed (and expected)!
Now I am sure that the coin is a fake.
@Altamura:
The link from Pekka is sufficent for me, you also believe this is a forgery.
So size and weight are in this case not indispensable.
Joe Sermarini:
Fake coin report please.
