I bought my first batch of uncleaned coins recently. On one large coin, I've revealed *N*TONAVG on the
obverse.. From what I can tell, this makes it a coin of
Caracalla. On the
reverse is a robed female figure holding some sort of staff vertically flanked by the letters SC. No catalogs have a
Caracalla coin with an SC on the back. Am I missing something? When did the
Romans stop stamping SC on their coins?
