Dears colleague
I have a coin in my collection that I cant identify. Can you please help me???
Material: Bronze. black patina
Size 32,2 mm, weight 28 grams
Obverse: head right with inscription CAESAR (Emperor Gaius Iulius Caesar 100-44 BC.???)
Reverse: Roman battleship ????
In my opinion, is it Celtic coin with a Roman motif.
Origin: England??
Age: after 55 BC ???
Thanks for the answers.

clueless:
Me thinks it is something sold to tourists ....
Sorry,
Clueless
djmacdo:
The ship does not look even remotely ancient. A modern tourist fake.
SC:
It appears to have been struck from two hand-carved dies. A fair bit of work on what is obviously a fantasy piece.
It might have been some sort of experimental archaeology piece or piece meant for, or sold at, re-enecatment events.
Just guessing.
