Help! no idea
« on: April 04, 2019, 12:06:35 pm »
This little one, I don't even know where to start...

6mm and .67g, one side has a horse head. the other side seems to have a bust, but it is too damaged.

Any help is welcomed.

Your obverse looks like the forepart of a horse.

Hi folks,

The reverse may also be a fore-part of a ram.

The obverse may be a facing head.

This is a very old topic of mine, but still not happy with ID. Today I saw this one, which might be the closest coin I have seen.

But it is more or less the same as the two I linked above.

Probably the maeander pattern around the reverse on the die has been larger than the flans, so on the coins you see only part of this pattern at different positions.

Yes and you put me in the right track. In the two you post, the bull's head seems to be more at an angle, the pattern below and seize weight are a bit above. This one I would say is a confirmation of your id, bull's head seems more similar and pattern also in closer position. Thanks for your help!!
