Ho preso questa moneta dal catalogo FAC:

BB60531. Bronze AE 4, RIC IX Thessalonica 62(c), aVF, 1.215g, 11.9mm, 0o, Thessalonica (Salonika, Greece) mint, D N ARCADIVS P F AVG, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right; reverse GLORIA REI-PVBLICE, campgate with tall door and two turrets, Γ (3rd officina) left, TES in ex ; scarce

In passato (2012), sempre dal FAC avevo preso questa:

Arcadius (383 - 408 A.D), Thessalonica mint
AE 4, 1.211 gr. 11.8 mm, 180°, aVF, R
D/ D N ARCADIVS P F AVG, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right
R/ GLORIA REI-PVBLICE, campgate with tall door, two arched windows on mid-level and two turrets, G (3rd officina) in left field, TES in ex;
RIC IX 62(c) var, LRBC 1866 var
Provenienza: ex FAC (novembre 2012)

Stesso imperatore, stessa zecca, stessa officina, persino stessa referenza RIC, eppure due monete profondamente diverse (specialmente sul R/)
