Leaded Bronze?
« on: December 18, 2015, 09:39:08 am »
Hello, I have been cleaning a batch of  200+ coins lately, and one particular coin was very odd.  The surface felt greasy as if it had been coated by something, yet is was not cleaned, nor looked tampered with.  I'm suspecting a leaded bronze with the lead coming-up to the surface.  It is much more durable than the small lead coin/seals I have found in these uncleaned in the past.

I don't have a picture yet because it's still at the cleaning stage but thought to ask.

Matt
