Just added my Bithynia coins to my Black Sea gallery folder. These include civic, Kingdom of Bithynia, and Roman Provincial. I literally never know where to put Greek Roman Provincials, so I put them with their regions/cities. I have decided to not make separate categories for such coins as allegiances changed in all cities over time. Nothing spectacular here, just some interesting to me bronze coins.

Bithynia, Kalchedon: https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pid=178505

Finally, I have a new addition to my Elymais gallery that arrived today. Acquisitions for this collection have slowed because I am getting down to more rare and expensive coins. This one is not pristine but is my first AR Drachm and earliest coin from this kingdom. I like it in hand.

Awesome. The gallery looks great. Nice to see an AR in the mix. Based on the locks of hair below V's diadem, I think we may share the same obverse die...here's mine: https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pid=138412

Thanks Robert, also thank you Jay for your comment. I love the feel of these thick AR and AE coins. The obverse certainly does look like a match. Interesting how different the reverses are. Die studies are, to me, a very difficult thing to do from what I have seen.

I posted this one to Forum Purchase of the Day thread, but just added it to my gallery. This one has a very cool historical context. I love this coin because of the historical context of both the times (First Triumvirate) and the coin (first reference to an event from moneyer's career). Also, they crammed almost as much on this coin as possible. Poor die engravers.

Roman Republic, First Triumvirate, Marcus Aemilius Scaurus & Publius Plautius Hypsaeus, 58 B.C.

I created a Misc folder to put coins that I don't know where else to put and these are going to be coins that I have one or maybe a couple examples of simply because I like them, although I do not intend to pursue a larger collection in that area. So, here are the first two in this category.

Judean Kingdom, John Hyrcanus I (Yehohanan) - I got this one mainly because of the start of Hanukah last year.

German States, Duchy of Bavaria-Landshut, Henry XVI the Rich, 1393 - 1450 A.D. - I got this one because it has a dog, and a rather cute one at that.

Just started a new folder, this one will get some more areas added, but for now, here are my Pisidia coins. None are museum pieces, but I like them all. I am not at all happy with my photography, but this seems to be the best I can do.

Greek, Pisidia, Etenna AE 17: https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pid=179932

Greek, Pisidia, Selge AE 15: https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pid=179935

I just added a few to my Misc folder. There's are coins I have acquired for various reasons, some because I like them, some because they were in a lot. There are in categories I will not be pursuing in a larger sense, so I am putting them here.

Seleucid Empire, Antioch's VII Euergetes: https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pid=180144

Seleucid Empire, Alexander II Zebina: https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pid=180145

Ptolemaic Kings of Egypt, Time of Cleopatra III and Ptolemy IX to XII: https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pid=180147

Arados, Phoenicia: https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pid=180148

One more coin for the MISC Coin folder and this one has some meaning.

British Celts, Iceni (East Anglia), Ecen: https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pid=180149

Notes important to this one: This was the first coin I ever purchased in "modern" times. it was for my Irish mother-in-law who was from Liverpool and it has returned to me upon her death, She appreciated such gifts of historical significance and there was no doubt who would get it when she passed. I bought my first Alexander the Great coin in this same order. I have come a long way since then in my collecting, but I still love this one and the dealer, Forum Ancient Coins.
