A Pin?

       I bought an uncleaned lot of 100 Roman Coins and to my surprise, one of them wasn't a coin. It looks like some kind of pin. Still Roman? If so, what the heck is it used for?

These things are found in the Balkans in great numbers and often appear in lots.

They are buttons or dress ornaments and usually date from early moden times - ie Ottoman occupation of the Balkans.

Some types may be early Medieval Slav but most are late.

Thank you. Looking at it, it does make sense that it's a button. Part of me is disappointed that it's not a coin, but the other part thinks having an old button is cool.
