Hello Coin friends,

I bought this coin at an auction, some time ago.
with a good hint from Frans i got myself a microscope.

its not ready but almost i guess.

1e as bought
2e as now
3e CNG example.

Excellent job.  It looks great now.  Vivid green patina with some of the light earth remaining.

In my opinion the right time to stop. The remaining sand enhances contrast and does not obscure any details.

Yes, I suppose it is about done and you have started on bronze, which requires a delicate hand. Have you tried sanding the flat areas with sandpaper 800? You need tiny pieces, which I hold down with a flattened wooden pick. The result can be quite enhancing.
I'll show some silver ones which I have tried my hand on.
