Young girl with a metal detector finds Viking hoard

A young girl from an armature archeological association using a metal detector has found an important Viking silver hoard in Denmark. The hoard contains Viking, Germanic and Islamic coins as well as broken up Celtic silver artifacts that probably originated in Ireland or Scotland.

Fascinating. I always find it interesting when Islamic coins are found in a place like Denmark.

It is nothing unusual. The same in medieval Poland. Islamic silver was then like dolar or euro.
