You should post the diameter, thickness and weight.

I believe that this is a coin from Mughal India, but as to Emperor and mint??????

Sorry forgot about the measurements so:
- weight 9 g
- diameter 16 mm
- thickness 5 mm.

I believe you are correct it is from Mughal Empire as in the lot I bought there were a few ones from that area. The thickness of the coin fits also well with the coins that were used in that area.

To my understanding the hijri date is written on the coin in numericals and in words so if one would just know how to read the date.  :)

Anyway I am thankful for knowing at least this much, thanks for the knowledge!

With some research I have found out the following:

Date: 1014-1017 (1606-1609 A.D.)
Denomination: 2/3 Falus
Mint: Ahmadnagar
Obverse: darb murtada ahmadnagar
Reverse: Sanah 1017.

So it is from the period of the sultan Murtaza Nizam Shah II rule.
