can anyone help me identify this coin?
« on: August 10, 2014, 07:15:59 pm »
Many years ago I was given this Greek coin (I'm assuming it's Greek; the person who gave it to me -- now deceased... -- said it was) and I've always been curious about its provenance, its iconography. I'm hoping that someone will be able to tell me something about it. I've scanned it but must also say that it's very worn and hard to make out details. (I use a hand lens...) The coin is slightly more than a centimeter in diameter.
Thank you in advance.

I see that only one scan showed up here so will add the other. Under the lens this looks like grain sheaves or perhaps thunderbolts.
