Goat foot terminal

Cool looking apron terminal I came across that I wanted to share since I found it very unique.

Not sure what the 'x' stands for, possible legion or cohort number?

Very nice.  Never seen another with that design on it.  It is really nice!

I am sure the X is just the design - that part of a goat's foot is just fur.

The object itself is an Elongated-style strap end from a split-end belt, Redzic type XXVII, early second to mid-third century.  Origin in the Middle Danube region.
