Map - Mycenaean Greece, Egypt, Mesopotamia, etc. 1450 BC
The period of Mycenaean Greece ran from about 1600-1100 B.C. and ended with the Greek Dark Age. This is the period described in Homer's Iliad and Odyssey. At the end of the Mycenaean period, writing was abandoned.
