This book is the main result of the doctoral thesis of the author, read at the University of Santiago in December 2008.
The work of the study of the direct sources available, namely, the documents of the period, both for the organization to collect money as private transactions, known archaeological findings and finally their own currencies, for which it is offered a catalog of comfortable use.
The author updates the knowledge of the medieval coin, breaking quite a few topics, providing a classification of the cash basis of scientific criteria contrasted.
Add that the author discusses the organization of production and suture monetary role in the economies of the kingdoms of León and Castile in the Middle Ages, considering their importance in the international context of circulation of gold and silver.
