German language, all coins illustrated and fully described with attribution (Svoronos and SNG Copenhagen) and their provenance. Excellent introduction to the coinage of Ptolemies, chart with chronological reduction of weight of silver tetradrachm from Attic, reduced Attic to Ptolemaic standard. Map of Ptolemaic kingdom, genealogical chart, extensive bibliography (including newer up-to-date references (book published in 2000). Concordances with Svoronos and SNG Copenhagen. Coins in this collection are predominantly assembled by Eduard Rüppell (1794-1884), noted German scholar. A very interesting and a must book for any collector of coins of Ptolemaic kingdom of Egypt.
