Atlas of the [Celtic] coins of Gaul. In 1892, Henri de la Tour published his Atlas des monnaies gauloises, the first major attempt at organizing and cataloguing the wide variety of coinages produced by the Celtic tribes of continental Europe. This monumental work, primarily based on the Celtic coins in the collection of the Bibliothèque nationale de France, soon became the standard reference for the series and has continued to maintain its status as a primary reference to this day.
