Justitia, the virtue that renders eveyone his own (suum cuique). On coins of the Roman mint, struck under the Emperors Tiberius, Nerva, Hadrian, Antoninus Pius, Pescennius Niger, Septimius Severus, and Alexander Severus, Justitia, or Justitia Augusti, is represented under the type of a woman, standing with patera, sceptre, hasta, or rudder, in her |hands|; or, like AEQVITAS, sitting with balance in one hand, and holding the hasta pura in the other, or a cornucopiae.
