AUTUMNUS. - On a brass medallion of Commodus inscribed FELICITAS TEMPORVM, and also on gold and silver coins of Caracalla and Geta, with the legend FELICIA TEMPORA, Autumn, in the group of the four seasons, is typified by the figure of a naked boy, carrying in his right hand a hare, and in his left a basketr filled with fruit.

In Captain Smyth's Descriptive Catalogue, Autumn in this group on a first brass of Commodus, is described as "displaying a cyathus for wine in one hand, and placing his other upon a hound." - (p.163).
