Visigoths - The coinage of the Visigoths has been exhaustively treated by M. Heiss (Monnaies des Rois Wisigoths), and the following list of names of the Visigothic Kings is taken from that given by Mr. Keary (Num. Chron., N.S., 1878, vol |xviii|, pp. 246-251):

- Reccaredus I, AD 586-601
- Liuva II, AD 601-603
- Witteric, AD603-610
- Gondemar, AD 610-612
- Sisebut, AD 612-621
- Suinthila, AD 621-631
- Sisenand, AD 631-636
- Chinthila, AD 636-640
- Tulga, AD 640-642
- Chindasuinthe, AD 642-649
- Chindasuinthe and Reccasuinthe, AD 649-653
- Reccasuinthe, AD 653-672
- Wamba, AD 672-680
- Ervigius, AD 680-687
- Egica, AD 687-696
- Egica and Wittiza, AD 696-700
- Wittiza, AD 700-710
- Roderigo, AD 710-711
- Achila (uncertain King), AD 711?

The types of the coins, which consist almost exclusively ot trientes, are Victory holding wreath and palm, cross haussee on three steps, |bust| facing, and cruciform monogram. A complete list of the mints at which the coins were struck is also given by Mr. Keary [VALENTIA].
