REVERSE VARIETY. Specimen similar to LONDON 84 except for the presence of letters in field [S in left field, P in right field]. According to RIC, LONDON 84 has "no letters in field" (footnote 84 on p. 102); see example of LONDON 84 (ex Vogelaar; sold on Spink auction in March 2008 for $400). Note that there is also a problem to determine the bust type (see CORRIGENDA, VOL. VII, p. 101). Coin should be listed after LONDON 83.
