OBVERSE

REVERSE

VIRTVS-MILITVM [VIRTVS MILITVM]; three-turreted campgate, open, without doors. TSB in exergue.

NOT IN RIC

MINTMARK VARIETY. Specimen similar to THESSALONICA 13a (off. B not attested) except for absence of dots in m.m. Dots may be sometimes obliterated but there is no room for dot before officina letter. Possibly an engraver's error or, more probably, an ancient imitation. Could be noted before THESSALONICA 13a.

NOTES

Argenteus. Weight 2.96 g; diameter 19 mm. Sold on Savoca Numismatik auction 14 (lot 648) in April 2017 for EUR 220.
