NOT IN RIC

UNLISTED REVERSE LEGEND. RIC lists for this issue legend SACRA MONET AVGG ET CAESS NN (p. 473) and legend SACR MONET AVGG ET CAESS NN is not listed in RIC at all. It could be an engraver's error or an error in RIC, because there are some incohernces between text and index of reverse legends. For example index suggests that the very similar legend SACR MONET AVGG ET CAESS NOSTR was in use in Siscia (p. 704), but there are no mention about it on the relevant pages. General note from p. 449: "The final mark of Group I is continued, together with an unchanged Sacra Monet... reverse, in this very rare issue of 'paired' coins. Date, c. 305-6".

NOTES

Sold on eBay in February 2006 for $67.66.
