MAXIMIAN-V-SNOB-C [MAXIMIANVS NOB C]; bust r., laur., imperial mantle, eagle-tipped sceptre in r. hand.

REVERSE

VIRTV-S-AVGG [VIRTVS AVGG]; emperor galloping r., spearing fallen enemy.

UNLISTED ISSUE. Specimen probably belongs to the group of rare unmarked fractions from c. 293-295 (p. 355-357), or to the later group from c. 305 (p. 365-366). In both cases the reader should keep in mind that "the dating and even the attribution of these very rare coins is problematical" (footnote 2 on p. 356) and that all these fractions are "very badly documented" (p. 337). Note that these fractions could be also attributed to Siscia. Otherwise, coin should be listed before ROMA 62.
