Coin Type: Holed bronze anonymous Byzantine follis, class I, attributed to Nicephoros
III, 1078-1081 CE Size and Weight: 25mm, 4.9g Obverse: Bust of Christ facing, wearing nimbus cruciger, pallium and colobium, raising right hand in benediction, book of Gospels in left hand, all inside border of large pellets. IC in left field, X(C) in right field. Reverse: Latin cross with X at center, globule and two pellets at each extremity, flanked by two crescents in upper field and by two floral ornaments in lower field.
