Coin Type: Bronze AE27 of Macrinus, 217-218 CE Mint and Date: Nikopolis ad Istrum in Moesia Inferior, 217-218 CE. Size and Weight: 26 x 27m, 11.17g Obverse: AY K OΠΠEΛ CЄVH MAKPINOC Laureate and cuirassed bust right, gorgoneion on breast, aegis on left shoulder with one snake rearing to the right. Reverse: VΠ AΓPIΠΠA NIKOΠOΛ Exergue: ITΩN ΠPOC ICTRΩ Macrinus seated, right arm raised, in a quadriga led by a soldier holding a vexillum. Above, a platform with a trophy and two seated captives.
