di seguito riporto gli elementi significativi pertinenti alla moneta di figura:

Concludo osservando che, per quanto consentito da una valutazione a distanza, le caratteristiche generali e di stile della moneta appaiono coerenti con quelle dei conî autentici del periodo. Per un esame esaustivo di autenticità non è possibile prescindere dal controllo del peso. Nel presente stato di conservazione la moneta, se autentica, potrebbe valere c. 10,00€.

Non essendo disponibili elementi sulle caratteristiche fisiche della moneta in esame, non sarà possibile svolgere un esame comparativo con le monete di cui sopra.
(2) La moneta è datata 74 d. C. (anno del quinto consolato di Vespasiano).
(3) RIC II 757 (pag. 112) dell'edizione dic. 2007, con indice di frequenza "C2", corrisponde a RIC II 798b dell'edizione 1926.
(4) IMPerator CAESAR VESPASIANus AVGustus. Il titolo dinastico di Caesar è mutuato dalla famiglia Giulio-Claudia. Una breve sintesi biografica di Vespasiano viene tracciata dal portale dell'Enciclopedia Treccani (v. link).
(5) PONtifex MAXimus TRibunicia POTestate Pater Patriae COnSul V CENSor. Il caduceo alato tra due cornucopie, simbolo di prosperità, è originario di Commagene (v. link). Tiberio, per primo, aveva incorporato Commagene nell'impero ma, sotto Caligola, la regione era tornata sotto il controllo delle monarchie locali. Vespasiano, annettendo il paese nel 72, aveva ripristinato la monetazione locale battuta a suo tempo sotto Tiberio.
