Egregio Lettore,
non vorrei usurpare titoli che non possiedo in campo numismatico, dal momento che sono solo laureato in fisica. Ciò premesso, di seguito riporto i dati significativi pertinenti alla sua moneta che, da numismatico dilettante, ho raccolto:

Descrizione sommaria:
D. IMP CAES VESPASIAN AVG COS ⁴. Testa di Vespasiano, laureata, a destra.
R. AEQVITAS - AVGVSTI⁵. Aequitas paludata, stante a sinistra, sorregge con la mano destra una bilancia e con la sinistra una pertica. S C a sinistra e a destra in basso nel campo.

Concludo osservando che le caratteristiche fisiche, generali e di stile della moneta appaiono, per quanto consentito da una valutazione a distanza, non difformi da quelle dei conî d'epoca. La moneta è piuttosto comune e, in considerazione del suo stato di conservazione, ha un valore venale di una cinquantina di euro.

Dalla tabella si evince che l'asse di figura presenta caratteristiche fisiche (10,5g, 26mm, 6h) non difformi da quelle dei conî d'epoca.
(2) Il 71 è l'anno del terzo consolato di Vespasiano (COS III appunto).
(3) Nella determinazione del categorico per questa moneta si è fatto uso della vecchia edizione del RICII (ed. 1926, ristampata nel 1968). Ad ogni modo, si evince dai link di wildwinds sopra riportati che il nuovo categorico per questa moneta è RIC 287.

(5) AEQVITAS AVGVSTI. La personificazione dell'Aequitas rientra nella iconografia tradizionale, con gli attributi della bilancia e della pertica (strumento per misurare) ad indicare l'equità dell'imperatore nell'amministrazione finanziaria.
