Price 1000 USD Description HERENNIUS ETRUSCUS. 251 AD. AR
Antoninianus (2.84 gm, 1h). Estimate $1000. HERENNIUS ETRUSCUS. 251 AD.
AR Antoninianus (2.84 gm, 1h). IMP C Q HER ETR MES DECIO AVG, radiate
and draped bust right, seen from behind / PIETAS AVG, Mercury standing
left, holding purse in right hand and caduceus in left. RIC IV 151a
(Decius); Pink IV, pg. 25; Hunter -; Tulln Hoard -; RSC 13a. EF. Very
rare issue as Augustus. ($1000) This coin appears to have been
overstruck on a denarius of Severus Alexander. Although only a faint C
M is visible on the obverse, the reverse is easily identifiable as P M
TR P II COS P P, Salus seated left feeding serpent (RIC 32 or RIC 269).
I bordi del dritto e
rovescio
non si sovrappongono, ritengo pertanto che Lei o chi per lei abbia
pasticciato
nell'invio
delle immagini che, come ripeto, appartengono a monete diverse.
Un saluto cordiale.
