Vespasiano

Sono in possesso di questa monetina di Vespasiano con le seguenti caratteristiche:
materiale:metallo (sembrerebbe argento)
diametro: 18 mm circa
Sono riuscito a farmi pesare la monetina, risulta essere: 2,90 gr con spessore che varia da 1,1 mm a 1.6 mm nella parte a rilievo. Mi piacerebbe sapere qualcosa in più in proposito e un eventuale valore.

R. EX  SC.3 Vittoria al passo a sinistra, appende uno scudo a un trofeo, ai piedi del quale è seduto un prigioniero in lutto volto a sinistra.4

    Commemorative coin struck by Titus, Judaea capta series. It celebrates the triumph of Vespasian and Titus over the conquered Jewish nation AD 66-70.

Concludo osservando che la sua moneta è un po' leggera rispetto allo standard dell'epoca e con un diametro leggermente ridotto. L'asse di conio che mi pare di poter desumere dalle immagini che mi ha inviato è ad ore 6, secondo lo standard. La perlinatura sul bordo della moneta è scomparsa e tracce di ossidazione (?) si intravedono nel quarto inferiore destro del rovescio. Lo stile della moneta si presenta regolare e compatibile con i denari d'epoca della stessa tipologia. Francamente sono perplesso.

Il peso medio (media su 102 esemplari, riportata da BMC) del denario di Tito era di 3,23g.
(2)La leggenda "Divo Augusto Vespasiano" ci dice che la moneta fu coniata da Tito in onore del padre Vespasiano, ormai morto.
(3)EX Senatvs Consulto indica che la moneta fu emessa in seguito ad un voto del Senato che votò l'apoteosi di Vespasiano. Svetonio riferisce che, all'approssimarsi della morte, Vespasiano pronunciasse la famosa frase, "Vae, puto, deus fio"(ahimè! credo di diventare un dio), dunque personalmente considerasse divertente l'idea di essere consacrato, ma la dinastia non poteva certo rinunciare a questo tipo di onori post mortem per il proprio fondatore.
(4)Sostiene il Mattingly in BMC II che la moneta ricordi il trionfo giudaico e che il prigioniero sia appunto un giudeo, anche non ci sia alcun segno ad identificarlo come tale.
