Note: According to Mr. Lindgren, modern scholars have attributed the obverse portrait
to Augustus. But that attribution is by no means certain. It may be Augustus. It may be
Apollo. Or maybe Augustus instructed the die engravers to "make me look like Apollo".
In that scenario, it would be a portrait of Augustus with features of Apollo. That
is what Mr. Lindgren explained to me when I purchased this coin from him.
