Uncertain Early Arsakid Kingslate 1st cent BC – early 2nd cent AD
AE Drachm, 15-17 mm, 3.7 grams
O: Bust left, long, curly, pointed beard; curly hair dressed in curved pattern from forehead to nape of neck, topped by hair bound with diadem, ties falling. Star in crescent above anchor with one crossbar, Pellet border.
R: Rudimentary style
Notes and Ref: van't Haalf 10.4.2-3 is my best guess. These are hard to identify. It was attributed by seller as Sear GIC 5890 that I partially disagree with, particularly because van't Haalf does not recognize Kamnaskires VI and an authority on these coins advised me to go with van't Haalf for king attributions. That doesn't make GIC 5890 wrong, per se. The various authorities over the years all have slightly different lists of rulers and these are all addressed authoritatively by van't Haalf.
