Serpent, Nero Tetradrachm - Agathodaemon with Opium Poppy Pods and Grain, RY: 3--
*Not sure if this would be considered a 'zoo animal'.... it seems at least half of it is ..... but it sure does look amazing and intricate on some coins, and is often depicted wearing the crowns of upper and lower Egypt, like the Pharohs of old, you can see the crown on his head on this example fairly well, as well as the Opium Poppies and Grain.

more info on the coin:
-------------------
The Agathodaemon was a good spirit/demon that was worshipped by the ancient Egyptians.
He had the shape of a serpent with a human head.
The Greek inscription on the reverse of this coin shows that this is the "neo" or "new" agathodaemon serpent, or, in other words, the new good spirit (of rule by Nero).

Trebonianus Gallus Tetradrachm #5 - RARE~ Trebonianus Gallus Tetradrachm #5 ~
~~~~~~~~
~~~~
~~~
~~
Roman Empire
Emperor Trebonianus Gallus (251 - 253 AD)
Silver Tetradrachm, Regnal Year: 2
(titles in Greek)
obv: Laureate bust right, draped and cuirassed. Three (3) dots below bust.
rev: Eagle facing, wings spread, head and tail right, holding wreath in beak. 'S C' below either wing.
Greek Officina numeral below eagle, in exergue, struck partially off-flan.
Weight: 11.47 Grams
----------------
Very interesting and rare type, with the 'S C' on the reverse having one letter under each of the eagle's raised wings, as opposed to having the 'S C' in exergue like most Tetradrachmai of Emperor Trebonianus Gallus,
also it has the Officina numeral in exergue, beneath the eagle (where the 'S C' is located on most Trebonianus Gallus Tets), and not between the eagle's legs like most Tets of Emperor Gallus have the Officinae numeral (in Greek).
This example is beautiful, and has some light irridescent toning visible in some of the photos I took of the coin myself, this is a seller photo, the photos I took are much larger and more detailed.... I love the detail of the two dots at the tips of the ties of the laureate crown worn by the Emperor (also visible on my other example of this specific type) I just find that interesting and cool!
