Gallienus - Doe RightObverse:- IMPGAL[LIEN]VSAVG, Head right with radiate crown
Reverse:- [D]IANAECONSA[VG], Doe standing right, looking left
Exergue:- [E]
RIC 176 var GOBL 728z var CUNETIO 1357 var CMR 10bb-

The standard right facing bust with both ties off the shoulder (type F Gobl, type b CMR) is not a very common bust, most examples come from the tigress type, but they have been recorded on left & right facing centaurs, left facing stags and right facing XI gazelles. Now we can add the Doe standing right facing left type to this list.

This particular coin has a IMP prefix on the bust legend. As far as I know it is the only recorded example of this f type bust with the IMP GALLIENVS legend.

Gallienus - Pegasus RightObverse:- [GALLIENV]SA[VG] , Head right cuirassed bust with radiate crown
Reverse:- [SOLICONS]AVG , Pegasus springing right
Exergue:- [A]
RIC 283 GOBL 712u CUNETIO ---- VENERA 3466

A badly conditioned coin, however the bust is rare for this type. There are two examples recorded with the cuirassed bust with both ties off the shoulder in Gobl for the Pegasus facing right type. However the picture is missing from the plate in table 20. Per page 186 in MIR the supposed picture should have come from the Venera hoard ref 3466. Fortunately it is pictured in the Venera Catalog itself. The Venera catalog lists the coin 3466 as having an N in the exergue, however Gobl seems to record it under the Officina A classification. Looking at the picture of coin 3466 it just looks like a double I. I think the Venera catalog description is incorrect since there are normally 3 I's that make up these crude N's and this is just an attempt at an A. Note in my gallery pictures I also have examples of Pegasus coins with officina marks that look like X H or II.

The style of this cuirassed bust is of interest too. The front part of the cuirass is split into two sections. You can just make out a dot in the right hand side of the upper section which make me think that there should be more dots in this section (perhaps 3). In the lower section there seems to be vertical lines. Occasionally I've seen a cuirassed bust with dots but none so far with vertical lines. Which does make me question/wonder if the bust should be classified as something else.

Gallienus - Antelope LeftObverse:- GALLIENVSAVG, Head right with radiate crown
Reverse:- DIANAECONSAVG, Antelope left (head looking up)
Exergue:- Gamma
RIC cf.181 GOBL 716b(1) CUNETIO 1344 CMR 7a3(C)

This variation of the Antelope where the head is looking up isn't depicted in the drawing types for the Antelope in Figure 9 in Appendix 5 of the Cunetio. Although it is not so uncommon as I have seen about 3 or 4 examples coming up for sale in the last couple of years, and there is one example is shown in Gobl but with a different obverse (716u). Judging from the differences recorded between the other example types in Figure 9 in the Cunetio (for example Tigress items 5 & 6, Doe item 20 & 21 or 23 & 240) one would assume that the authors would have also recorded the head being raised on the Antelope had such an example been present. Therefore the logical conclusion is that this variation is unlikely to have been present in the Cunetio Hoard.
