"Attis was the consort of Cybele in Phrygian and Greek mythology. His priests were eunuchs, the Galli, as explained by origin myths pertaining to Attis and castration. Attis was also a Phrygian god of vegetation, and in his self-mutilation, death, and resurrection he represents the fruits of the earth, which die in winter only to rise again in the spring." The rev. shows Demetrios [O D]H/[M]H - TPIOC (can't see these last letters clearly from the photo though). He is holding a spear in r. hand and his l. on hilt of sword set on the ground. " I think that's a camel rising from a shell. The reverse has a figure - probably a shepherd milking a - again probably - goat. The obverse fits into a beloved theme on engraved gems of a large animal rising from a shell (lion, elephant, pegasus, and your camel). Seals share iconography with engraved gems more than coins, so these images appear on lead as well. The reverse image is also well attested on gems. It is part of a wide range of pastoral images that appear on engraved stones. As for this seal, I would say it is definitely Roman. My guess would be around AD 300." by Gert. Thank you Gert.

"I think it dates to the beginning of the 4th century, and it is published in the supplement of Leukel, Römische Bleiplomben aus Trierer Funden, N226-240. There, the depiction is described as 'two Victories in two bigas to right', but I think it is more probably just one quadriga with a second Victory flying above. This is quite a common seal, which might indicate that it is an imperial seal, not a personal one." by Gert. Thank you Gert.

"My guess would be late Roman, first half 5th century. In 425-35 a similar (possibly identifcal) coin type was introduced with a facing Victory holding two wreaths in outstretched hands. That type isn't described as standing on a globe, but I think it might very well be there. This parallel might also date your seal to the joint reign of Valentinian III and Theodosius II.
This type of standing Victory was also used in early Byzantine times, but those have different obv. and crosses in the fields."
