O - Head of Athena right, wearing crested Attic helmet and drop earring.
R - Φ-A[P] right down, horse’s head and neck right, all in an incuse square.

THESSALY, Ekkarra, Circa 325-320 BCAE Chalkous, 13mm, 2.03g, 8h

O - Laureate head of Zeus to left.
R - ΕΚΚΑ left down, ΡΡΕΙ right down, Artemis standing left, her right foot crossed behind her left, leaning on her hunting spear held vertically in her right. In the centre of her spear appears what seems to be the head and neck of a bovine carcass that has been run through.

Rogers 208 and fig. 88 corr. [fig. 88 corresponds to Rogers 208 and not 207 as stated in his text]. Liampi, Ekkarra 31d (this coin).

SIKYONIA, Sikyon, Circa 360s-340s/330AR Obol, 0.69g, 9h

O - Dove alighting right; above tail, Σ
R - Dove flying to right; above tail, Ε

The obols of Sikyon were struck in very large numbers, understandably so because they were very popular and circulated throughout the Peloponnesos and in many places in Central Greece where the Aeginetic standard was also used. Thus, the vast majority of known Sikyonian obols are in worn condition. Pieces like this one are exceptional.
