1st-3rd Century C.E. Harness MountsThree different harness mounts are seen here. The peltate mount on the left dates to the 2nd-3rd Centuries C.E. The item in the middle is a suspension loop fragment from a mount. Both the peltate mount and middle loop fragment may have also been used on sword belts. The mount on the right is silvered and dates to the 1st Century C.E. This has two studs on the back and measures 9mm x 31mm. Jan 23, 2014

3rd Century C.E. Ring Buckle or Penannular BroochThis ring buckle complete with copper-alloy tongue is smaller than the other two ring buckles in my collection. It has a 35mm diameter and 45mm length. The smaller size raises the possibility that this could be a brooch.Jan 23, 2014
